Global content, agile solution
Microsoft’s Device Partner Center portal is designed as a targeted content experience for Microsoft Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). It houses large amounts of content, including product information, downloads, sales and marketing resources, technical resources, and licensing information.
The team was tasked to localize public content and newsletters from the OEM sites they maintained. This required establishing a process that included handoff and quality control from US-based publishers to the Chinese-based localization team and back again, to implement the translated content.
The team was able to adapt procedures to the strengths of each of the individuals involved, creating the most efficient process.
Input from all team members involved not only helped create the most efficient process, but also gave each individual ownership of their steps in the workflow.
The customer now has a reliable and efficient localization process that they can track, based on their specific needs. The team not only created the solution, but also added features such as real-time tracking and budget management that were not originally requested. The customer felt that further rigor and pricing estimations established were a positive outcome.
